Stampin' Royalty Challenge #17

Daisies are my favorite flower!   I have lots of them in the garden.   I learned how to make these daisies from the first Stampin' Up Demonstrator I met at a craft sale - Merle Bennett.   You just punch whisper white cardstock using the scallop circle punch and then cut almost to the centre with each flower.   The leaves are made with the Jumbo Snowflake and 5-Petal flower punches.    I then added some boho blossoms and made a vase using the ornament punch.   I love using punches!    Be sure to check out all the fabulous designs on our Stampin' Royalty Team.

Entry for SPCC Color Combo

I think color challenges are the toughest but in the end you come up with some nice cards and colors that one would probably not even think of before the challenge.   I am entering this card in SPCC's challenge for putting together Dusty Durango, Gable Green, and Green Galore.  I love all the examples left by the designers!   I stamped the butterfly with Dusty Durango for background, and then did two extra because I messed up the punch on the left side, and the butterfly covered it perfectly.  :)   Thanks for all of your inspiring ideas!

Happy Birthday Entry for Stampin' Sisters in Christ #35

I made this card for my friend Angelica for her birthday.   I cased the idea for the lilies from one of my fellow Goddesses - Sabriena Satchwell. (Little Miss Scrapalicious)   I was making the challenge card for this week Stampin' Royalty, I thought why not use the same design and add these lilies which are made with the 5-petal flower punch.   I wish I knew how to link to another persons blog but if you go to Sabriena's blog you will find a link there that gives details on how to make these pretty flowers.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #16

This is the sketch for our challenge this week designed by Sandra Farrel.   I know I am a little slow at figuring things out but I just finally figured out how to put the design challenges onto my blog without having to ask my daughter!   She will be very pleased.   Make sure you check out all the designers cards as they are all really amazing.    Here is my design for this sketch.

I have always loved this Thoughts and Prayers stamp set.    When you colour on the flowers with Rose Red and the leaves with Old Olive or other colors, it always looks nice.     I just wish I could remember the names of the stamp sets like Sarah so I wouldn't have to wander through the catalogue to look them up every time I post something.   It is wonderful to have such a brilliant daughter.   The Sweet Pea stitched felt flowers just finish it off.

Challenge #34 for Stampin' Sisters in Christ

I am entering this card in Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #34.   I ordered some stamps from Our Daily Bread website and have been "anxious"  :)  to use them!  So many of my friends have been experiencing difficult circumstances and verses like this one can help give comfort and peace and remind us that God is near.   I used Baja Breeze,  Chocolate Chip ink and paper, and Pretty in Pink all from Stampin' Up.    It is a bit challenging to use a stamp with so many words but I am going to try some more!    Thanks for having this challenge!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #15

This week's challenge is to Keep It Simple Sweetie!   I tried this card with Bordering Blue and it looked pretty but the black was more striking.   When you punch out the edge with this Eyelet border punch, it leaves the little black strip which I then glued above the strip of lace.   The DSP is from last year's Sale-a-bration.

Angelica's beautiful card

Isn't this a gorgeous card!   My friend Angelica made this beautiful card.   She was inspired for this idea by Leslie Jones.  The color and design are so pretty!    It is such great fun to make cards with friends.   I may have to case this one myself.

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #14

These color challenges are a little more tricky but it is nice to experiment with colours I don't usually put together.    I love the new butterfly embosslit die.   They are so versatile and pretty!

Sympathy

These are two cards I have made recently for friends.   It must be my age - there seems to be so many  friends who are going through a difficult time for many different reasons.   The design for these cards came from my upline Angela McKay when we were at Crop Night at her house about a month ago.    We did our cards that night in pink and I thought they would look pretty in various colors so I tried a few and really liked them.   The card at the top is Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip with Certainly Celery leaves and ribbon.   The card on the bottom is  Perfect Plum and Pale Plum again using the Sweetest Stem Embosslit Die with Certainly Celery.     A word of advice:    don't send these big metal brads overseas.  :)  It  is quite a bit more expensive because they don't fit through the little envelope slot!
